Meet Alina, ARBOR’s co-founder and heart 🪵 If ARBOR’s instructors are the people who teach woodworking, Alina is the person around whom the workshop itself came together. She conceived, organised and connected everything that makes up the ARBOR woodworking school today: instructors, students, the timetable, programs, workshops, promotion, bookings, new ideas and dozens of processes that visitors never see.

Alina has been in business since 2008. Her greatest strength is seeing an idea, gathering the right people around it and turning it into a working project. ARBOR began simply: she and Ivan were curious to explore woodworking together, create formats, build processes and see what could grow from it. What grew was a whole workshop.

Today children and adults come here every day to meet, learn, make their first projects and gradually take on more complex work. Alina still sits at the centre of almost every studio process: she builds the team, develops new programs, makes the timetable, handles bookings, talks with students and parents, promotes the school and keeps it moving forward.

Alina has nearly 20 years of experience working with children, especially preschoolers. If you are visiting ARBOR for the first time and do not yet know which class or instructor is right for you, she will most likely be the first person to help you find your way. There are many instructors at ARBOR, but there is one centre. ❤️
